We are on the move!

As announced at the club, our new regular club meeting place starting 9th February will be:

Rowley & Blackheath Labour Club

This is only a short walk towards Blackheath from the Conservative Club, and there is ample parking at the rear. The club's driveway is adjacent to Hawes Garage, and an updated location map can be seen from the location page of this site.

There is secure entry at the Labour Club, and we intend to post an organiser on the front door to let you in up until 8:30pm and probably beyond.

We have decided to move in order to ensure a secure future for the club. We are excited about the new venue but sad to leave the Conservative club and the many friends we have made. Many thanks to Steve and Marie the stewards, and the members of the committee for their help and hospitality during our residence of almost 5 years. We hope to still see some of you at our new home.

We meet at 8:30pm every Thursday. All singers, musicians, storytellers and poets are welcome, along with anyone arriving just to listen.

We use the word "Folk" loosely as we encourage an eclectic mix of musical styles. Performers arriving promptly can normally expect 2 songs or the equivalent.

In common with all music sessions, we ask you to pay respect to the performers by staying silent while songs are in progress.

You will find a very friendly atmosphere at the Lighthouse, and a truly entertaining night is guaranteed. We look forward to welcoming you.
